FineDrive iQ500 GPS navigation system is the latest from Korean FineDrive. Powered by an ARM11 600MHz CPU, available only in Korea. It can either be used as a regular car GPS or a PMP. As far as portable GPS navigation systems go, the iQ500 is considerably larger in size at 186 x 120 x 24mm.

Sold with either 4GB or 8GB (SD card) of memory, the iQ500 supports SDHC cards up to 32GB, has a 7″ (800×480) touchscreen, runs on Windows embedded CE 6.0, with a GPS module, DMB TV tuner, MP4, ASF, AVI, MPEG and WMV video and MP3, AAC, AMR, QCP, WAV, FLAC, MID, OGG and WMA audio support.

Samsung S7350 Ultra With A-GPS

The Samsung S7350 Ultra s is a pretty obvious successor of the Samsung S7330. What sets the two apart is that the new slider has ditched the touchpad. Also, the S7350 Ultra s has a higher-resolution, bigger 2.6″ WQVGA screen, a GPS receiver with Samsung Mobile Navigator (by Route66) and a more modern styling in tone with the latest Samsung lineup. There’s also the 5 megapixel auto focus camera.

The Samsung S7350 Ultra s is easily another Soul offshoot, though the real successor of the U900 Soul is the already announced S8300 UltraTOUCH.

Samsung Memoir a.k.a Samsung T929

Officially announced, Samsung Memoir is expected to hit the stores by the end of this month for an unknown price. Samsung T929 is a full touch screen phone with an impressive 8MP digital camera. This camera is even enhanced more with the Xenon flash, 5 different shooting modes, and a 16x digital zoom.

Other features of the Memoir include the virtual QWERTY keypad, multimedia, text, instant messaging, and e-mail. It even can play music and videos. However we’re happy to see the there’s an integrated A-GPS receiver in T929 which can provide certain applications with turn-by-turn directions capability. However we’ll have to wait and see which applications T-Mobile will make available for navigation.

Kenwood DNX6140

Kenwood DNX6140 is one their mid-level models that already went on sale on Amazon recently from $1050. DNX6140 comes built-in with Garmin navigation and Parrot Bluetooth interface so you won’t have to worry about an extra standalone GPS navigation system crowding your dashboard.

With DNX6140 Kenwood kept it simple with the hardware interface. In addition to the touchscreen you’ll find a knob for volume control, a mini A/V input for connecting another device, and three buttons for switching to navigation, toggling source, and accessing other functions. The optical drive which can handle audio CDs, DVDs, MP3, and WMA files is at the top end of the 2-DIN device.

DNX6140 has a 6.1″ screen, and it give you the ability to let you control external media sources such as iPods, and HD Radios.

Clarion NX509 Built-in Navigation

Clarion NX509 is a 2-DIN system with 7″ touch screen LCD monitor that has built-in navigation and supports media from CDs, DVDs, and USB sticks and can read MP3 and WMA formats.

There is a USB port in the back fro iPod Control in addition to being ready for XM Satellite Mini Tuner, and CeNET Sirius Satellite Radio. Additions such as the steering wheel remote, bluetooth connectivity interface are ready for an optional. Priced at M.S.R.P. $1199.99 but still no info when this device hit stores.

Nextar Unveils M3 Navigator at South America

Today, Nextar announces their new three dedicated GPS navigational units for Argentina (M3-AR), Brazil (M3-BR), and Mexico (updated to the M3-MX1) will be added to its lineup in early 2009.

Featuring 4.05″ x 2.99″ x 0.9″ dimensions at only 2.2 pounds, 3.5″ touchscreen display, multimedia player (but only MP3 & JPEG), built-in antenna, thousands of POIs, text-to-speech technology with user-selectable languages of Spanish, English, Portuguese or French in a built-in stereo speaker.

All GPS units come with a complete accessory pack that includes AC/DC adapter, rechargeable Lithium-Ion battery, car power adapter, USB cable, protection pouch, suction cup, instruction manual, and a stylus/touch pen.

Available for purchase on Q3 2009 at $249.99.

Samsung W690

Samsung has just launched the Samsung SCH-W690, a new clamshell that should be soon available in South Korea, via SK Telecom. It integrates a GPS receiver and considering networks speeds in that part of the world you probably would be able to updates Google Maps or anything similar as you travel.

The W690 comes in two color versions (black and white) and looks quite elegant. Its alphanumeric keypad seems to be very user-friendly. It has both an internal and an external screen; internal one measuring 2.6″ and external one 1.5″. It only 123 grams and measures 101×56×17 mm. It comes with a 800mAh battery, and has a 2MP digital camera. Other features include MP3 player, bluetooth connectivity, and of course HSDPA.

There’s no word yet if Samsung SCH-W690 will be released outside South Korea too.

The device also has an integrated FM transmitter, Bluetooth hook-up for your phone, MP3 player, photo viewer, travel guide and a Sudoku game (great time waster). Priced at £175 ($269).

Nextar Q4-01 and Q4-02

The newest duo in the Q4 lineup includes a 4.3-inch touchscreen, voice-guided directions, NAVTEQ maps, an SD card slot, multimedia player and a rechargeable Li-ion to boot. The Q4-01 stops at just 50 states, while the Q4-02 adds in maps of Canada and Puerto Rico and includes six million points of interest.

Both of these should be available right now in a variety of off-the-wall retailers, with the former listed at $299 and the latter $399. Oh, but you should know the Q4-01 will go for $99.99 on Black Friday (read: this Friday) at Kohl’s and Kmart.
