Vodafone 835 was just announced by the company. It is their first ever phone to feature both GPS and and 3G connectivity in the same device. For door to door directions from Vodafone 835 you are going to have to rely on ‘Vodafone Find and Go‘ navigation application as that’s what the find is designed for.
It is slim device with a 2.4″ screen that also adds a 2MP camera, bluetooth connectivity, FM radio, and a microSD card slot. You’ve also got a front cam for video conferencing. We did mention it was 3G right? Other applications that are pre-installed on 835 include Vodafone Music, Google Maps, support for email, MMS, Vodafone Messenger for instant messaging,
You’ll have to wait until spring of this year to get your hands on one of these.

GSmart S1200 looks really nice and elegant, having a chromed trim and a large WVGA display. It’s also quite slim, measuring only 105.5 x 52 x 11.4 millimeters. As expected, the S1200 runs on Windows Mobile 6.1 Professional and it’s upgradeable to Windows Mobile 6.5.
GSmart S1200 should be on sale starting the second quarter of 2009, for a price that will be announced later on.

Nokia 8208 is company’s latest GPS enabled handset coming out of MWC. This is a bit different than the rest though because it also supports CDMA band. However not for Sprint or Verizon though; Nokia is preparing this phone for countries other than the U.S.
Some features of Nokia 8208 are the 2.2″ screen, 3MP camera, FM radio, GPS receiver, and microSD card slot. Speaking of CDMA, Nokia 8208 will support 800MHz, 1900MHz, and EVDO.
Nokia 8208 is expected to launch in select CDMA markets, in the first quarter of 2009.

Samsung has just announced the launch of BEAT Edition mobile phone called the Samsung BEAT DJ on last week that really focuses on its audio capabilities and the touch screen interface.
Samsung Beat DJ M7600 comes with Bang & Olufsen audio technology as well as music application for finding, purchasing and recommending music. BEAT DJ has a 2.8″ AMOLED display, 50MB of on-board memory which is expandable to 16GB with the micro SD card slot - so there’s enough room with plenty of music.
It also has built-in real stereo speakers - powered by B&O’s ICEpower amplifier that can output a deep bass and crystal clear treble which is unlike any other phones out there.
Other features include 3MP camera with face detection, 3G connectivity, bluetooth, 960mAh battery, and of course integrated GPS which supports geotagging and an application called “My Location Find”.

Nuviphone M20 is the second phone announced from Garmin Asus collaboration. When two companies made their first official announcement of nuviphone G60 last week they also mentioned other Garmin Asus phones would follow. Nuviphone M20 is mostly targeted for on-the-go business professionals with its Windows Mobile 6.1 Professional operating system that enables you to sync to your business stuff with ActiveSync.

i-Mate 810 is the name of the new rugged smartphone that will be released at MWC 2009 next week. Runs on Windows Mobile 6.1 OS with QVGA touchscreen display, offers GSM and 3G connectivity, has a full QWERTY keyboard, Wi-Fi, bluetooth, and a 2MP camera.
It also has a built-in GPS receiver but no word on what kind of navigation software installed on it.

The Samsung C6625 while hasn’t been officially unveiled yet, is up for pre-order on Expansys. The qwerty device use Windows Mobile Standard, so the 2.6 QVGA inch screen is not a touch-screen. Other than that the rest of the specification list seems to include enough features to make this little Samsung a decent offering.
Other than an attractive design, the Samsung C6625 features 3G connectivity (HSPDA 3.6Mbps), a 2 mega-pixels camera, A-GPS, 100MB internal storage, a microSD slot and of course bluetooth and wi-fi.

Officially announced, Samsung Memoir is expected to hit the stores by the end of this month for an unknown price. Samsung T929 is a full touch screen phone with an impressive 8MP digital camera. This camera is even enhanced more with the Xenon flash, 5 different shooting modes, and a 16x digital zoom.
Other features of the Memoir include the virtual QWERTY keypad, multimedia, text, instant messaging, and e-mail. It even can play music and videos. However we’re happy to see the there’s an integrated A-GPS receiver in T929 which can provide certain applications with turn-by-turn directions capability. However we’ll have to wait and see which applications T-Mobile will make available for navigation.

Google just announced Google Latitude, an application for mobile phones and desktops that lets your share your location with other users who have opted in for the service. For desktops it probably uses your IP address for figuring out where you are and for cell phones it may use the cell tower location and your GPS receiver, if you have one.
The new Google Latitude application will also be standard on T-Mobile’s Android phone G1 with the Android RC33 update.
